Our fabrics include worsted damasks, brocatelles, lampas and double cloths woven in 100% wool, pure silk or cotton fabrics and combined yarns such as wool and silk, wool and linen or mercerized cotton and wool. We also weave camlet, broad cloth and various twills and small satins. Where practical, the weave is constructed as the original would have been.
We also design our own original textiles in the traditional style of the period and are pleased to offer a design service to anyone wishing to create their own ambience.
Renaissance Textiles
Based in the heart of the Somerset countryside, we design and weave faithful copies of early English and European fabrics, ranging from the Byzantine to the 19th century period. Many of our designs have not been woven for hundreds of years and were rediscovered with the help of the museums of Europe.
We offer an exciting range of superb period fabrics, suitable for any property from the country cottage to the stately home. A selection is shown below, please call us to find out more.
